Trying to get criminal records or find any information on someone can be tough, but luckily for us we have the Internet. Your best bet to find any criminal records are to do a web search for the information that you are looking for. The first thing that you can do is to try to find out what states the person you are looking up lived in and also what years they lived there.
The next thing you need to do is find out their exact name as many people go by nicknames, middle names and aliases. Try to find out their real full name. Once you do that you can do a search with their name and the state they lived in and the city also if you have that as well. For example enter "Person' name" + "City, State" into Google.com or Yahoo.com, minus the quotes of course. If there are public records or court cases it should pull it up right away.
Of course this is not guaranteed to work all the time to get criminal records on someone, but it does work if you are willing to search and dig around. Your family and your safety are worth it.
